Entity Authority: The degree to which an AI model recognizes and trusts a brand as an authoritative entity across its training data and retrieval sources. LLM Visibility: The likelihood that a brand appears in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude for relevant queries. Corroboration Swarm: A distributed network of third-party surfaces that mention a brand in proximity to its category terms, increasing entity confidence across models. You type a query. A list appears. Your site is either on the list or it is not. AI search is probabilistic. A model generates a single synthesized answer based on a statistical picture of the world formed from training data, indexed sources, and real-time retrieval. The same prompt will surface your brand for one user and not for another depending on phrasing, model, and retrieval context. LLMs are not search engines. They are consensus engines. They surface whoever the information environment already agrees is the answer. Traditional search is a library index. LLMs are a rumor network with a very good memory. You cannot control what the rumor says today. Citation behavior is less publicly documented than the other three. Structured, machine-readable content and clear entity definition are the consistent signals across all models. Key data point: Studies consistently show that only 11 percent of domains are cited by both ChatGPT and Perplexity when measured across large citation datasets. Optimizing for one does not optimize for the others. --- ## What the Infrastructure Work Looks Like This is not a campaign. It is infrastructure. A distributed network of third-party surfaces that mention the brand in proximity to its category terms. Reddit, Medium, YouTube transcripts, podcast show notes, press releases, Perplexity Pages. Each surface is a signal node. 04. Entity consistency audit. Zero contradictions across top indexed properties. Mismatched names, outdated descriptions, and inconsistent category language confuse entity recognition and degrade model confidence. 05. Ongoing signal maintenance. AI visibility is not a project with a finish line. Models update, retrieval logic shifts, and new platforms emerge.
